This weekend there was a big bridge demolition over de A20 in Rotterdam. It wil be done by Heijmans Infra Techniek, They use there cat 345D and cat M322d mobile excavator. They also rent Liebherr R944B from Bert van der Plas sloopwerken and the real demolition wil be done by the big Hitachi ZX 870-3 HRD from Democom with big CR 80 concrete shear.

The A20 is closed at 22.30. At 22.30 the first equipment arrived and they removing bariers.

The Cat 345D is laying steel plates on the road to protect the road against damaging. The grab is a Zijtveld grab.

A special 5 axle truck is also used to lay the steelplates on road.

The Hitachi is now wide, and waiting is foor boom.

Time for pick up the counterweight from the trailer. It goes with special hydraulic system, so no need for extra cranes.

Very special 5-axle truck from Van Noort Transporten. They laying the steel plates for protection the road. The truck can drive by remote control from the loader crane.
